30 Day Juice Cleanse- Day 15!!
I CAN’T EVEN BELIEVE IT’S BEEN 2 WHOLE WEEKS SINCE I’VE EATEN SOLID FOOD!!!
Today marks the 15th day of Bryan and I’s juice cleanse, and do you know what that means?? WE’RE HALF WAY THERE! Only 15 more days until we reach our 30 day goal, as a couple :)
To be honest, the first 5 days were the hardest. Now that we’ve been doing it for so long, we already have our new routines down and food seems to be something of the past.
Do we still cringe every time we hear about our favorite foods or smell a pizza… OF COURSE! I’m not saying we don’t miss the food, I’m just saying we don’t need it.
Rapid Nail Growth
My nails are literally shooting out of my fingers like rocket ships! They’re so strong, so long, and so healthy that I’ve received a BUNCH of comments asking if they were fake! Yesterday, I smacked my pointer finger so hard on the table that normally my nail would have broke in half, but to my surprise it didn’t even make a mark. I was floored. How cool is that???! I’ll post pictures later, you won’t even believe how healthy and long they are.
I’ve blogged about how long and fast my hair has been growing since I started the cleanse, but to top it off, I’m starting to notice how incredibly shiny it is! I’ve had a bunch of friends in my college classes ask if I was wearing hair extensions! But NOPE! 100% real hair, 100% real nails. I’m telling you, healthy eating is the way to go.
Clear Skin in 2 weeks!
I grew up with so much acne, acne scarring, and TERRIBLE skin. I tried everything from Proactive, to every other face mask, medication, and infomercial possible in attempt to clear it up. Absolutely nothing worked growing up, especially since it was hereditary and ran in my family.
But now that I’ve been juicing for just 2 weeks, IT’S GONE! I still get the occasional zit every once in a while, but it’s NOTHING like it used to be. I wake up with a face that I don’t feel I have to cake on the foundation anymore. There’s still some more improvement to be made, but I’m so excited to see what will happen in the last 2 weeks of the cleanse!
Today’s Delicious Juice
Today’s juice was one of my favorites so far. Not to brag or anything, but after juicing every day- we’ve gotten pretty good at creating delicious juices.
- 3 carrots
- 5 celery stalks
- 3 peaches
- 3 oranges
- 1 inch ginger
I’ve been getting a LOT of questions from you guys, and I’m trying to get through them quickly :) Even so, questions welcome!! Even if I don’t know the answer, I love getting stumped and having to research things that you guys come up with!

I have big dreams. As the bible says, if your dreams are achievable, then they’re definitely not big enough! I have God sized dreams, and I know He’s right behind me pushing me to make them even bigger.
Exercise improves memory?
I obviously need to get back to the gym because I’ve lost my car keys 4 days in a row. Once I found them in the fridge… Is 25 too early to have alzheimer’s?
Maybe I’ll remember where I put my favorite purse if I take a Zumba class tonight haha :)
This is such a great lesson that I’m learning more and more as I grow up. Life is so short, we only have 100 years on this beautiful planet. If you wake up on the wrong side of the bed, make the decision to start over.
YOU are the only one that can control your emotions. It takes practice, but YES it is possible. Don’t wait for someone or something to magically happen and do it for you.
For me, taking a refreshing shower when I’m feeling grumpy or overwhelmed REALLY helps. Tell yourself when you get out, that it will be a new day. Or even better, a warm bubble bath with my favorite candles and a great book!
Try it, you’ve got this.

Yes, I’ve done it three times already all the way through. I’m a bit of an over achiever so while doing The Shred, I still went to classes at the gym and did morning runs etc. It’s only a 24 minute video, so as long as you space it out you shouldn’t have to give up what ever else you’re doing. For the first level though it’s a bit intense so I do recommend toning it down on other exercises until you get in the groove of it you know?
As far as having to be done every day, yes that is absolutely recommended. However, we’re all human and have busy lives (this I know) so it is 100% realistic to have to skip a day or two in between those 30 days.
What I would do, is if I had to skip a day doing the shred I would add an extra day to the end of my 30 days.
Don’t make it a pattern though, the first time I did the shred I got to day 17 and skipped one day, then thought to myself “Oh, it’s okay I’ll just skip one more day and then add two to the end…” then two turned into three, then four, then I ended up just not finishing it at all! I started completely over a month later. When you skip one day, make SURE you discipline yourself to keep it to one day.
I had GREAT results! I have a thin build already, so doing the shred for me was great because I wasn’t “Thin” or “Skinny” anymore. After the shred I was kicked into “Toned” and “Fit”! The Shred gave me defined abs, arms and especially legs.
The best part by far though was my mind’s new mentality! I was thinking differently, eating differently and had at least DOUBLE the energy as I did before!
It’s absolutely worth it :)
