I’m not a big fan of green tea (I still have yet to find one that doesn’t remind me of drinking tooth paste) however I AM on the hunt because of all of it’s incredible health benefits!
Time and Time again I’ve read from so many different sources how great it is for you and all aspects of your body.
I guess I’ll on the Green Tea (toothpaste free) hunt for the next few weeks until I find one I like!

THIS is another great reason why I am SO proud to be a vegetarian!!
Life long Veg, and don’t regret EVEN a second of it.
Even though I don’t eat meat I am still very picky as to what goes into my body. I like to know what is going into the foods that I eat… (especially so something like that doesn’t accidentally enter my body!) Meat filler????? EW!
Tomorrow I will be smiling as I pass Mcdonalds while I eat my healthy snacks that I pre-pack in my purse :)

This is so great, it’s incredibly refreshing to hear someone else be real and write about life not always being perfect.
No matter who you are- you will never feel motivated 100% of the time. EVERYONE goes through their ups and downs.
It’s those that understand that having lows is a part of the whole process who end up succeeding.
I think embracing your unmotivated days (when you’re not at your best) and understanding that there WILL be better days, is such an important of living a healthy lifestyle.
Everyone falls, but getting back up is the most important part.

Guess what I’m starting tomorrow :)
I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve embarrassingly tried to start to 30 Day Shred TWICE now, and life keeps getting in the way. So after not making it past day 4 TWICE in 3 weeks, I’ve found this 30DS chart that I’m going to literally PRINT OUT and ‘Pink Thumb Tack’ next to my bathroom mirror (so that I HAVE to look at it and be reminded everytime I look at myself!) What better way to remind myself that I want a nice healthy fit body then my own body itself haha.
So tomorrow… Monday May 7th 2012 my OFFICIAL 30 Day Shred will BEGIN!
Chart, health food, and weekly goals to go with it!

This is such a great chart guys.
I know you’ve seen these on the back of foods that you eat, but have you ever stopped to take a second and see what the nutrition info actually means?
I don’t know about you but I definitely like to know the things that I’m putting into my body!
Who knows, they might put “dinosaur nostrils” in the next bag of Doritos you pick up and you’d never even know because you didn’t look at the nutrition info…
I think I’ll pass on the Dinosaur Nostrils thanks ;)
I will definitely be memorizing this for future reference and you should as well!

I STILL HAVE YET TO TRY A DRAGON FRUIT!!!!!!
It’s been on my bucket list for over 5 years and there is none to be found!!

Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day!!
If you eat a good breakfast, it helps kick off the rest of the day in an energized and positive way!
EVERY morning, I start off with a fruit protein smoothie NO MATTER WHAT!!! Fruit has a lot of natural vitamins that my body needs to stay healthy and energized. Usually I’ll add in two or 3 more items to breakfast like some home made protein pancakes, some wonderful oatmeal, Greek yogurt, whole wheat toast with peanut butter and bananas… the list goes on and on!
Needless to say, breakfast is definitely my favorite meal, and in my opinion the most important of them all!

If you’ve been following me for long enough, you KNOW I’m FAR from a morning person, but I think I’ve finally found the motivation to get my lazy blonde butt out of bed early!
HEAT YOGA!!
My best friend found a GREAT deal at our local Yoga Studio for one free week of Heat yoga!
I’m really into trying new things lately, and this was definitely an INCREDIBLE new thing to try. If you’ve never taken or heard of heat yoga before, it’s where you literally do yoga in a room that’s REALLY hot.
Your body sweats out a lot of its toxins and it’s SO good for not only your body, but also your mind because it helps you relax and leave your life at the door for an hour :)
Yesterday at 7:15am was my VERY FIRST heat yoga class with my bff, and of course we accidentally picked the HARDEST class in the whole studio.
About 1/2 way through the class, I felt like I was going to DIE and the whole class looked like we had JUST jumped into a swimming pool together from all the sweat! Gross right?
Then I remembered this quote by Jillian Michaels… so I kept going anyway!
“Unless you PUKE, FAINT or DIE… KEEP GOING!”
… So I did :) And I’m still alive!
After it was over though (and after a REALLY long shower) I felt AMAZING! Refreshed didn’t even begin to describe how I felt. The hot suffering was worth it and the best part was it was only 8:15am and I had got my morning workout out of the way already!
Getting up early is definitely going to be a new fabulous habit that everyone should try… but don’t do it because you HAVE to… Do it because YOU WANT TO!!
